Felicia Jeffries is the type of person to think big and act on her thoughts. In 2010, she became a paralegal. She worked at a business and bankruptcy law firm under one of the few black female business and bankruptcy attorneys in North Texas. She quickly learned the ropes and became accustomed to her life as a budding paralegal. She eventually moved on to mass-torts personal injury law and became one of the lead paralegals on MDL cases.
Yet she didn't stop there. Once again, Felicia Jeffries was the type of person to think big, so while she was working as a paralegal, she was building her business consulting firm in the process.
Moore Financial Services was established initially to help consumers and later came to specialize in helping other businesses. Felicia Jeffries wants to see people attain their full potential in terms of personal and business growth, and she realizes that focus on God is the key to obtaining joy and satisfaction in her life.
In 2016, Felicia Jeffries conceptualized a movement that involved minority-owned businesses. She envisioned a way for them to have the credibility they needed in business to become competitive players. Thus, the Biz Credit Movement was born. The movement is open to all small businesses. However, Felicia realized that more minority-owned businesses were being left off the playing field.
Felicia understood that a big chunk of small minority business owners did not know about the process that must take place in building business credit apart from their personal credit. Banks, lenders, the government, grantors, and creditors look at a business' credit profile. If no credit is established on the business, the business will most likely be turned down for funding, contracts, and even grants. Yes, a lot is at stake when a business does not have its credit established. Oftentimes, when black owned business owners are turned down for funding, they may reason it's because of race. Felicia found that if a business has its credibility established and has the revenue, lenders have no problem saying yes to a loan application.
The Biz Credit Movement gives budding and established entrepreneurs discounts on all necessary business services that they require to operate credibly. It's a one-stop shop for companies and business-people. Once they avail of the membership, they can get their logos created for free (platinum level), discounts on the business credit building program, website development, business plans, financial projections, discounts on forming LLCs, corporations, and other business structures, just to name a few.
The Biz Credit Movement also has a network of professionals such as lawyers, bookkeepers, and accountants committed to providing discounted services to their clients. The company follows a tiered membership business model: silver, gold, and platinum. Each level entitles members a discount on their services and free business consultations every month. Once a client has completed the business credit building program, they will be fully ready for funding.
With the pandemic comes the opportunity to become a member at a discounted rate. $250 has been taken off of the yearly membership.
Biz Credit Movement agents are an important key to help business owners achieve their goals. Agents have the opportunity to grow along with the company. Training is provided to competent individuals. This training enables agents to provide assistance to business owners that will guide them in being successful.
Felicia Jeffries has had an amazing career so far, though there were some roadblocks along the way. While working tirelessly to serve others, she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, which heavily affected her health and lifestyle. Yet she did not let this unfortunate experience slow her down. She never stopped thinking big, and she eventually overcame her health crisis in 2019.
Felicia now gets paid to speak to audiences all over the United States about the importance of self-care, proper work-life balance, and faith in God. Felicia, is the lead consultant for the Biz Credit Movement. As she continues to acquire long-lasting success, there's no telling what she'll do next, but it's exciting to watch her and her team help others reach the top - with God's help, of course.
