Pain and suffering are some of life's greatest equalizers; nobody goes through life without confronting challenges. However, some people come out of their difficulties full of regret and displeasure, while others develop into well-rounded and determined individuals. For Alfonso A. Matos, the difference lies in their level of understanding.
These universal human experiences are the theme of Alfonso A. Matos's debut novel, PAIN!. The book serves as another tangible expression of the artist's lifelong message of love, kinship, loyalty, and finding the strength to succeed. In all of his projects, Alfonso aims to uplift people worldwide by demonstrating how love binds diverse groups of people. Alfonso finds that without affection, people too often succumb to divisive tribalism.
In espousing love, Alfonso A. Matos draws from his experience as a law enforcement professional, gang expert/consultant, and military consultant. He started building his foundation as a creative force when he studied at the Dominican Republic School of Arts. He developed a keen interest in writing soon after, leading him to screenwriting. Alfonso's artistry is characterized by newly developed ideas with religious overtones that bind cultures together.
Alfonso A. Matos is a native of the Dominican Republic and now resides in Washington, DC. The citizens and the law enforcement community of the District of Columbia have praised Alfonso for his steady pursuit of justice and peace. Among his many contributions to the community, he has served as a law enforcement officer and in the US military.
Today, Alfonso A. Matos is heralded as the new fresh face of action, alluding to his appearance in several films and TV shows. Alfonso has starred in WE DIE YOUNG, CAPITAL VIDEO, National Geographic's Locked Up Abroad, State of Play, and many other productions. Regardless of his present assignment, Alfonso has always encouraged the people around him to nurture their sense of responsibility. He is tirelessly driven by his goal to make a change in the world.
Describing himself as a family-centered individual, Alfonso hopes to contribute to creating a positive culture that will enable people from different walks of life to live in harmony. He is able to lead with empathy by viewing each person as a member of a worldwide family. His novel, PAIN!, clearly reflects these values. The social issues rampant today concerning race relations and discrimination further emphasize the importance of Alfonso A. Matos's vision.
When asked about what encouraged him to create a unique brand for himself, Alfonso returns to his message of love. More than ever, he recognizes it as the only force that will uplift the global community. Despite the widening gap between people's beliefs portrayed in the media, Alfonso A. Matos remains optimistic for the future. He knows how pain and suffering will always awaken people's understanding of each other. He has been celebrating the family unit as a law enforcer, military personnel, artist, and now as an author.
Alfonso A. Matos ensures his audience that his upcoming novel, PAIN!, "will thrill, excite, and educate" readers everywhere. You can follow Alfonso on Instagram for more information.
