Despite the great strides humanity has made towards progress and development, some things remain to be heavily stigmatized, such as menstruation. For some reason, women all over the world have been shamed and even bullied because of the totally natural biological function. Divine Drops, an awe-inspiring venture, aims to bring a stop to this and help bring back ladies' confidence in their bodies and cycle.
It is a nonprofit organization that sells reusable period care products, such as menstrual cups and period panties, that are clean, effective and reliable. And they're invented by none other than women. Although there are many other social impact companies in the industry, Divine Drops is in a league of its own by donating 100% of its profits to its mission-ending period poverty. In addition, the brand supports up to six six women who do not have access to hygienic and quality menstrual products for every sale they make.
More importantly, it has taken on the crucial task of educating the public about the realities of menstruation. It is determined to destigmatize periods by helping everyone understand that period pain is real and that different products can affect them. Divine Drops wants women to realize that there are always other options and that they don't have to suffer in silence. These initiatives align with the organization's goal of removing the negative mindset and shame people have around menstruation.
The incredible enterprise is a passion project of registered travel nurse Mikaela Ingram. While traveling for work in Arizona and Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic, the outstanding visionary decided that it was time to start the company to create the change she craves to see.
When asked to share what motivated her to create the brand, the inspiring individual shared, "After experiencing a long dark road of painful menstrual cramps, body rejection, and hormone imbalance myself, it gave me the passion I needed to pursue this project. Then after seeing firsthand that I was not the only one and that there are over 500 million women suffering the shame of period poverty. A total lack of products that leads to missed school, work, and frustration."
All of the products created by the company are entirely reusable and sustainable, which means on top of providing a more budget-friendly option, it also helps save the environment by significantly reducing plastic waste.
Divine Drops menstrual cups come in three different sizes, giving clients an option to choose the best one that fits them. In addition, it offers the smallest menstrual cup on the market, which is perfect for girls who are new to using the cup.
Within the next few years, the remarkable nonprofit organization sees itself creating a program for women internationally that provides a holistic source for hormone balancing, menstrual support, and the power that comes with community. The company is focusing its efforts on specific areas where women statistically are more affected like girls in school, Native American communities, and global communities where women live with dirty rags and dried leaves to manage their period.
Connecting everyday activist women with Divine Drops resources is how they plan to share this education and innovative solutions with women all over the world.
But most importantly, Divine Drops plans to enhance the lives of women all over the world by reconnecting them to their bodies cycle and donating at least one million products that would support a woman for up to 10 years.
