Sometimes, being just one thing is not enough; the heart ends up craving for more, and if the more is worth it, it might be a good decision to give it a shot. For Noel Mirabal, being in active duty was not enough for him; he wanted other things and took a chance on himself by chasing them. He was in the United States Coast Guard for years until his enlistment ended in 2014, after which he transitioned into reserve status. During this time, he accidentally came across a casting notice for actors with military experience, and he shot his shot, and the rest became history.
His military experience paved the way for him into other things, which is Noel Mirabal's most significant silver lining, and he's grateful for that. He got the chance to audition for a role in Atlanta, and despite the challenges that came with it, such as sleeping in his car and taking his shower at a local gym, he did his part and hoped for the best. The best happened three days later when he got the call that he had been cast for the role, signaling the beginning of his acting career.
His first role was somewhat a background actor, but he has gotten other opportunities to play lead and supporting roles since then. Some of his acting credits include Purple Gang and All the Lord's Men. Beyond acting, Noel Mirabal is a qualified criminal justice expert with an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Drama from Miami Dade College. In addition, he works as a volunteer at the Homestead Center for the Arts, and earlier in the year, he was inducted into Marquis Who's Who, a club for individuals who are highly valued and respected for their position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in society.
Thus far, Noel Mirabal's journey is one of persistence, self-belief, and determination, which he claims he inherited from his grandfather. He also credits his achievements to the support of his wife and children. Noel lives through each day with the mindset of doing better than the previous day, and for the last few years, that has not changed. He's a staunch believer in pursuing what makes him happy, and he'd like to pass on that mindset as he believes that is the only way for him or anyone to be genuinely happy. "Life is so short and beautiful. Why not make the most of it?" he quizzed.
On his journey as an actor, Noel Mirabal has been focused and heavily invested in himself so much that he sees nothing else or nobody as a competitor. "There is so much personal growth to be made that it would be a waste of time to worry about how someone else is doing on their journey. It's important to be mindful of oneself. It brings about a calmness inside," he said. Being a good example that his children can emulate is his primary goal, and he hopes to keep achieving incredible feats that will inspire and motivate young people all over the world.
In a few years, Noel Mirabal hopes to land more acting roles, boost his profile as an actor and continue to live happily and healthily with his family. "I just really want to be happy and healthy, with my happy and healthy family. In pursuit of our passions, we tend to lose sight of what really matters at times. There is nothing more important to me than my family. I love them so much," he noted.
