Soccer is an entertaining sporting event with high attendance rates at important matches. Fans of the highly watched sport always want to stay updated on key events, happenings, statistics, and even watch the latest highlight reels about their favorite teams and players. KYSTAR, as a modern digital soccer media company, has set out on the mission to provide all of that content in more engaging and fun ways.
KYSTAR curates content from all over the world because it understands that soccer is an interconnected sport. It operates on the fact that the average soccer fan is interested in everything that happens on the global soccer scene. Founded by avid soccer fan Koray Yalcin, KYSTAR began operations in 2014, and for seven years, it has done an excellent job of entertaining soccer fans. KYSTAR's approach to delivering soccer content does not revolve around overly serious content that is all about numbers, facts, and figures. While it delivers accurate information, it ensures fans receive them in enjoyable modes and compilations.
The platform's content library includes funny moments of soccer players on and off the pitch, stories about players, behind-the-scenes moments of players, highlight reels showing important statistics, and a host of other fun content. Having built a huge platform and followership, KYSTAR places talents in the spotlight by featuring them and showcasing their abilities to the world. Many talents have been discovered by talent scouts by being featured on the KYSTAR platform.
KYSTAR's growth over the years has been strictly organic and aided by consistent content production. From YouTube, where it has over 250 million views and 510,000 subscribers, the brand expanded to other media platforms and now has 70,000 followers on Instagram. It is one of the most dependable platforms for soccer updates.
For Koray Yalcin, building KYSTAR was primarily borne out of passion and immense love for the game. He grew up watching soccer and decided to leverage the growth of content creation using YouTube early enough. "As a football (soccer) fan, I know what the new generation of football (soccer) fans want to see. KYSTAR focuses on the fun side of the sport football (soccer) and is the voice and brain of football (soccer) fans. Football (soccer) fans watch the sport to be entertained, and the new generation of fans don't want the content to be too serious," he said.
The goal for KYSTAR for the next few years is to grow its followership into millions of people while growing consistently with high-quality content across the board. Koray Yalcin also hopes to collaborate with big sports brands, soccer clubs, and personalities to create content and ink high-value deals. With many people signing up on social media platforms daily, KYSTAR intends to leverage that for its growth and become the number one source of everything that soccer fans want to see. The company is also a direct manifestation of what Koray set out to achieve, and he hopes that it motivates thousands of people globally to pursue their passion.
