As a result, she started researching and developing a deep understanding of her future with this hair disease. She took on this formidable challenge and began to develop design options to mask her hair condition, knowing that her crown would never be the same. The experience gave Shemika a new path-to pursue the hair industry with drive, passion, and most importantly, purpose.
