Since the COVID-19 pandemic started making rounds, in-person activities such as chocolate tastings became highly discouraged. Much to the dismay of chocolate lovers and aspiring chocolate makers and chocolatiers, it became increasingly difficult to procure craft chocolate learning resources.
Priding itself as the destination for chocolate education and tasting experiences, "Chocotastery" opens its virtual gates to chocolate tastings accessible worldwide.
The brainchild of talented chocolate sommelier Glenn Petriello, Chocotastery is the innovative company revolutionizing the industry and setting the standard for similar upcoming ventures. Before becoming the powerhouse, it is now, this prime destination for all things chocolate was merely an idea considered by its owner and founder.
At an early age, Glenn Petriello had always been enamored of chocolate. Outside of enjoying its rich taste, he was brimming with curiosity in the science and the art that shapes the ingredient into delicate confections.
He started with chocolate truffles in 2009 before going on to learn the bean to bar process in 2015 when he also launched his first bean to bar operation in his apartment in New Jersey. When he was offered the head chocolate maker position at a friend's chocolate company, he left his corporate day job and pursued his passion.
Seven months later, he had all the experience he needed as a chocolatier, chocolate maker, and educator to lay a sturdy foundation for "Chocotastery." Glenn Petriello wanted to define a space for every enthusiast to learn about, taste, and grow their love for craft chocolate.
So, he designed it with no boundaries in mind. "We created a unique structure to our virtual chocolate tastings so that our customers can gain a rich, chocolate education and foundation to understand further what goes into the chocolate we taste and further appreciate the process."
Developing a world-class network of chocolate makers and chocolate organizations, Chocotastery offers a unique tasting experience for customers. This opportunity helps enrich knowledge for the company's visitors and provides an exclusive chance to highlight new bars or give exposure to particular cacao farms internationally.
The ingenious system triggered an avalanche of positive reviews that Glenn has grown with ready answers to customers' countless questions. Glenn Petriello also released Chocotastery's own chocolate testing resources to further his venture's brand of efficiency: the Chocolate Tasting Guide and Chocolate Tasting Sheet.
These resources are also available for the company's virtual chocolate tastings hosted through Eventbrite every other Saturday at 5 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). For $67, anyone at any place can get access to an exclusive two-hour chocolate education and tasting experience, as well as receive a kit that carries four top-quality chocolate bars and learning sheets.
As their sessions fill with enthusiastic and passionate chocolate lovers, Glenn hopes to place Chocotastery on the map as a household name for exclusive virtual chocolate tasting and learning experiences. "Over the next few years, we will be traveling to cacao producing origins and from those experiences will be able to create new experiences for our chocolate consumer base," he reveals.
Besides promoting the cacao-producing countries, future efforts are geared towards igniting support for cacao farmers by introducing various flavors from different origins and increasing love and awareness of craft chocolate.
Give in to the craving and take a satisfying bite out of premium craft chocolate with Chocotastery.
